Lebanon 9, West Carrollton 2 (varsity baseball) -  Wes Noble went 3-for-3 and drove in three runs while striking out 11 over 7 innings to get the win as the Warriors won a school-record 20th game while advancing to the Division I sectional finals on Thursday where they will face Tecumseh.

Lebanon 8, Hamilton 0 (varsity softball) - The Warriors improved to 24-2 and advanced to face Lakota East in the D-I District Championship on Friday.
 


UPCOMING EVENTS

Press Box Dedication Canceled - Tomorrow's (May 23 schedule dedication of the Jackson C. Hedges press box at the varsity softball field, located behind Lebanon Junior High School, has been canceled due to the inclement weather. A new date for the dedication has not been set.

Boys Basketball Camp - Lebanon High School varsity boys basketball coach Matt Higgins will conduct his annual youth camp for boys entering grades K-8 on June 10-13. Cost is $75 if you register before June 7. Click HERE to view the camp flyer.

Girls Basketball Camp - Lebanon High School varsity girls basketball coach Rob Hodges will conduct his annual youth camp for girls entering grades K-6 on June 17-20 from 8:30-noon. Campers can register online or get camp flyer by clicking HERE or at: ladywarriorhoops.weebly.com or they can email coach Hodges at ladywarriorhoops@yahoo.com.

The Stance
of a Warrior

I don't know about you, but Iove the fact that our local sports team mascot, figure head, whatever you want to call it, is a "Warrior". We could have been turtles or ducks or hornets (sorry Monroe),but no - we're Warriors. Think about the stance, or posture of a Warrior for a moment. It's perfect, ready to move, jump or even pounce and attack. Unfortunately, the posture of our young athletes, when they're not engaged in their sporting activity, is pretty pathetic. The Warpath is a new website committed to complete coverage of Lebanon sports, recreation and lifestyle. The Warpath is operated by Scott Hayes who will draw on 21 years of experience as a sports writer/editor of The Western Star to provide in depth and comprehensive coverage of ALL Lebanon sports that no other media outlet can provide. Our goal is to provide daily updates on Lebanon High School sports teams which you can follow by clicking on the Warrior Pride section of the Navigation Bar above. Other features of this website include a look at other school news and activities (Harper Valley PTA), dining and entertainment in the Lebanon area (Mulberry Shuffle) and personal opinion (Straight from the Shoulder).
First and foremost, however, The Warpath is a sports site dedicated to giving the athletes of Lebanon -- of all ages -- the coverage they deserve.
